Tips Help installing English Patch
#1
Hi everyone, I was just wondering if someone can help me install the Soulworker Patcher..I have already downloaded the game and even created a character..When I downloaded the Patcher and ran it, the error it gives me is: "Soulworker Japan installation not found.". I followed the guides exactly as told, however I am unable to download the translations as the button is grayed out. Can anyone help me on this matter, I would really appreciate it Sad

The point of it not working is the following: The WeGames path is different then the one the patcher originally uses. This shouldn't be a problem.. Just change the path, rite?

WRONG, YOU CANT!

I don't know why it was designed to not allow you to change the path to your instalation folder, but its a dumb move of who designed it (Not discrediting them in any form. The work is amazing)

Nah. I meant. The patcher has a thing in the options menu that's greyed out where you can select the SW install directory. I'm assuming that the WeGames Reinstall changed the SW destination path. The problem is, is that the patcher probably has some forced function that makes it search for the old filenames and structures, which aren't there anymore, thus it bitches. So.. You know.. If we were allowed to change it, that would solve like, all problems I reckon, but I guess I'm just being retarded.

NOTE: This is a copy-paste message from the other threads regarding game launcher and patcher problems some players have experienced after the service transfer

Hello,

Please bear with us while the contributors are still fixing stuffs due to the problems that arise after the service transfer. Especially on the english patcher since only one person, Miyu, mainly works on it.

To be able to use the english patcher, there're currently temporary band-aid solutions presented below while Miyu updates the patcher to reflect permanent fixes:

Note: I'm not sure if this will also "fix" the game launcher problems some players have been experiencing due to problems in their existing Hangame game files, but you may as well try it just in case. . .
  1. Follow the steps done in this youtube guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kR7I04bjxM
  2. (This is not recommended for those who are familiar with editing registry values. . . Making incorrect edits may cause harm to your PC)
    • If you already installed the game before service was transferred from Hangame to WeMade Online:
      • Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\HanPurple\J_SW
      • Value: Folder
      • Data: <folder path of Soulworker>, e.g. C:\HanPurple\soulworker
    • If you downloaded (or re-downloaded) the game via WeMade:
      • Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\WeMade Online\Soulworker
      • Value: InstallPath
      • Data: <folder path of Soulworker>, e.g. D:\soulworker

Please note that the direct login support from the english patcher is currently unavailable for the JP service (for the time being, as Miyu stated).

Hope this helps.

That's weird that the English patch isn't working for some of you. I just ran the patcher as soon as I finished downloading the game and it was in English while playing.

As stated in the post above, it has something to do with the incorrect registry values (or the lack thereof). Either you follow the suggestions above or wait for Miyu, the developer of the patcher, to update it for a permanent fix.
